The prescription ( RX ) entry is quite straightforward, as we have designed our form to resemble a NHS prescription form.

Just type in the details from your RX form paying particular attention to the + and - symbols, your prescription may not show values for every box on our form so if they are empty leave them alone.

Pres 2.1

Our form first takes your distance prescription, I have entered a simple +1.00 sphere for both eyes here as an example.

If your optician has only prescribed correction for reading or computer work leave this section empty.

Then just click the

button.

If you have entered all details correctly the next screen will appear ( Below Right )

Your optician may have prescribed only distance or only near sight correction or maybe both in the form of Bifocals or Varifocals.

You can select whether you have a middle RX, a near RX to append to your distance RX here by clicking on the apropriate circle.

As an example I have selected the Middle ( VDU, Intermediate ) choice.

This brings to screen the lower half of this page, it allows you to select the format that your optician has written your RX in.

It may look a lot like your distance prescription ( a row of boxes with values entered ) or it may be just an ADD either under only one eye or under both eye's in the range between +0.75 and +4.00

I've shown here our RX form as you would see it if you selected.

All Prescriptions are now shown in a similar fashion to a n NHS RX form ( NHS forms show only two lines of values)( any extra values would be written below on a genuine paper NHS form )

You may enter special instructions or enquire about items on you RX form that you are unsure of in the comments box provided.

If you are already sure of your Pupillary Distance you can enter it in the box in the low middle of this page, or if you are happy to accept the default AVERAGE Pupillary Distance

At this point all your prescription details from your eye test are entered and recorded in our database.

You will see the different prescriptions provided for different focal lengths, you will also notice that you now have a different Pupillary Distance or each focal length, this is because as you focus on distances nearer to your eyes your eyes start to converge, making your Pupillary Distance slightly smaller.

If you take a digital photo of yourself in the manner described here, you will be able to take advantage of our new Click and Measure system to measure your Pupillary Distance accurately and see what you look like wearing your chosen frame.
